Sansei’s floor mechanism moves the stage floor up/down or create unique motion
to assist the performance and show by fully transforming the stage space.
Main mechanism are stage elevators (Seri), sliding stage system, raked stage, and revolving stage (turntable).
We can design and install a solution by combining these mechanisms.
The floor system is a key equipment with reliable safety and operability
for efficient scene transition and more creative stage production.
Stage Elevator (Seri) System
A lifting mechanism installed as a part of stage floor. It allows actors and stage sets to appear and exit in a three-dimensional manner. Depending on the size, they are called “Oh-zeri (Large),” “Chu-zeri (medium),” and “Ko-zeri (small).” Recently, increasing number of projects prefer to make the entire stage to be equipped with this elevator mechanism. The stage elevator system allows dynamic stage production, greatly expanding the range of possible stage expression.
Orchestra Elevator System
A liftable stage installed between the stage and the audience seating area. It may be used in different ways such as orchestra pit, extended part of the stage or audience seating area. As the height is fully adjustable, it can also function as an “extended stage piece” or appear as “temporary stage” for a wide variety of public performances such as opera, musicals, and ballet.

Revolving Stage System
This is a mechanism to rotate circular section of the stage floor, creating impressive effects and scene transitions. Basic types are “revolving stage” and “turntable.” More sophisticated system is also available by making combination of multiple rotating sections like “twin-turntables,” “multi-size turntables,” and “revolving stage with Seri elevators.” The use of revolving stage greatly expands the possibilities for stage production.
