History since our founding

Sansei Technologies (Formerly Sansei Yusoki)was founded as an elevator, escalator and amusement ride manufacturer in 1951. The manufacture of stage equipment was then initiated the following year, in 1952.

Currently, our core products are stage equipment, amusement rides, elevators and escalators, and specifically-designed equipment, and we handle all processes from planning and design to manufacturing at our own factory, as well as all installation, maintenance and repair work. Sansei provides comprehensive service that only consultant engineers like us, with thorough knowledge of all these products, could offer.

We answer our customers’ diverse needs for lifting, rotating, running, opening and closing, bending, and more, through our advanced technical capabilities, cultivated over a half century of experience, and with a flexible imagination.

Big success at the World Expo

For the 1970 World Exposition (Osaka), we provided a wide variety of amusement machines, including elevators, escalators, autoroads (moving walkways), stage mechanisms, roller coasters, and rapids slides.

We have also supplied a variety of products to the Montreal Expo, Tsukuba Expo, 21st Century City Expo, Yokohama Expo, Garden and Greenery Expo, Expo 2005 Aichi, and the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Japan's first

The first roller coaster (called a “wave coaster” in those days) in Japan was manufactured in 1952, and the first moving sidewalk (called an “auto road” in those days) in 1967.Today, both of these are familiar items used regularly by many.

We manufactured the first “auto road” or moving sidewalk in Japan, and a large number were used at the Japan World Exposition (Expo ’70).

A long-established company in Stage Equipment part.1

We began manufacturing stage equipment in 1952, just one year after our company was founded. Our vast experience in stage equipment includes many things such as theaters, halls, convention centers and TV studios across Japan.

1958 Our work at Festival Hall established us as a stage equipment manufacturer. We again provided new equipment in 2013 when it was renovated.

1966 We delivered a huge revolving stage, to the National Theater, a hall for Japanese traditional performing arts such as Kabuki and Noh.
